Responsibilities
Join our team as an Maintenance Mechanic in our Jacksonville, Texas facility. This position is responsible for effectively maintaining production and facilities equipment throughout the Plant while ensuring that equipment operates at design efficiency and throughput. Duties include:
Knowledge and skill in ARC welding, brazing, soldering, torch cutting, pipe fitting, fabrication and lubrication.
Troubleshooting and repair of production and support equipment.
Understand systems, print reading, layout, bearing failure analysis and all types of mechanical drives.
Ensures shop, equipment and tools are safe to use.
Ensures tools and equipment are maintained, in good working order and secured.
Able to operate forklift and other lifting/moving equipment.
Understands and follows all safety procedures and rules.
Must be able to be on-call and work overtime as needed.
Maintain a pro-active safety environment for the department and throughout the plant.
Qualifications & Competencies
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
1-3 years practical experience in a related field.
Computer skills required.
High school diploma or GED
Able to lift 30 pounds over your head at least 4 times during an 8 hour shift.
Be able to climb and work from a ladder.
Ability to communicate effectively with verbal and written communication skills including technical vocabulary.
