Social Worker - (MSW/LMSW)
Works with patients in the hospital's psychiatric programs.
Completes and documents psychosocial histories and master treatment plan for Psychiatric patients.
Contacts family members of new patients.
Has working knowledge of the mental health, social, support and recreational resources in the community, and makes referrals as appropriate with proper consent from patients.
Must be currently licensed by the State of Texas as a Social Worker.
Must have at least three years of experience with at least 12 months in a hospital and/or resident setting.
Should have the ability to work on a treatment team and work well with others.
Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills and assertiveness.
Must be physically able to participate in take-downs for restraints according to principles of Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) while minimizing risk of injury to patient, other staff and self.
Must be able to run short distances and have the strength and dexterity to apply and maintain the prescribed holds effectively.
